St. Michael’s welcomes all of our members to participate in the ministries and outreach of our parish. The variety of ministries is intended to provide various ways of serving God using the talents and interests of our members. Our outreach is intended to make us regularly remember that we are God’s people who are meant to be a blessing to the world.

Contact Mother Dina or a member of the vestry if you have a ministry or outreach that you would like to see developed at St. Michael’s.

Upon becoming an acolyte, the youth of our parish are given an opportunity to lend their time and talents in service to God and our church.  Acolytes, who must be at least eight years old, lead the entrance and exit processions and assist the priest at the altar.

Altar Guild

The director of the Altar Guild is the primary volunteer and is assisted by four members as needed (especially at Christmas, Easter and other special services).

Flower Guild

The Flower Guild volunteers purchase and arrange the Sunday altar flowers.

Sunday School

St. Michael’s Sunday School program is taught by volunteers for kindergarten and elementary school students.

Greeters & Ushers

Our Ushers and Greeters welcome visitors and parishioners to worship and facilitate the flow of worship services.

Lay Eucharistic Ministers & Lay Readers

Lay Readers and Lay Eucharistic Ministers participate as worship leaders during our worship services.  Both adult and teenage members may become Lay Readers; adults may serve as Lay Eucharistic Ministers after additional training.

Music Program & Choir

Our choir enhances our worship in praising our Lord through music at our weekly 10:00 a.m. Eucharist service.  At the present time we have a small but dedicated volunteer adult choir led by an accomplished and seasoned organist/choir director.  Anthems are sung weekly, and the choir leads the congregation in the singing of the liturgy and hymns.
